HAND-ME-DOWNS

A page illustration based on a shared reading. The reading talks about wisdom, and specifically the limitations of what can be passed along. I chose to focus on hands, as a visual representation of age and the way the younger generation holds on to the teachings of the last. Using hands for the illustration also helped to create a tactile feeling and highlight the fact that the knowledge being shared was more than just information, but rather something can came from experience and life. Showcasing that while some things can be passed down others may be lessons you can only truly learn after living through them yourself.
